Hello there,

Me and my boyfriend have just bought a scanner, its the GRE PSR-282.
I've been trying it out tonight, but I'm not having much luck picking
anything up such as the airport or fire service like we could do on our
cheaper model. I'm pretty new to scanners and was wondering if I was
doing anything wrong?

I'm also having trouble manually entering frequencies, I enter them and
then get the message "error". Does anyone else have this scanner or
something similar that could possibly help me get started?

Hi Rach, I have one of these, my fisrst scanner infact. As for input errors
the problem is that there is a lot of gaps in this scanners range. Also the
rubber duck aeriel aint much good try a discone or telescopic I think you
will be supprised at the results. Yes the gaps are really annoying, looking
for a continuous scanner now. Hope this helped. Jez
