Nottingham East Midlands Airport...

Hi,

I live quite close to Nottingham East Midlands Airport, does anyone have
any frequencies for it..? I've found some in the 119 - 136 MHz area on AM
but are there any more...

Please forgive my ignorance, I'm pretty new to this game, only bought my
first scanner/mukltiband receiver (Yupiteru 7100) a few days ago...

I do have two specific questions while I'm here:

1) I'm currently just using a rubber duck but have a 1m telescopic
antenna on order, should I expect much of a difference when I fit
the new antenna..? On some frequencies the signal more than doubles
when you plug the AC adaptor in so I'm guessing it's using the cable
as an ariel and it's working better than the rubber duck..?

2) I used to own a CB radio about 10 years ago and back then it was
quite popular. I've scanned the 27 MHz GB and European CB frequencies
and found nothing at all. Has CB radio died altogether or am I missing
something here..? I'm near to towns and motorways etc so the CB Bands
should be hectic over here..?

Any other info which would get me a head start in this hobby would be
greatly appreciated, especially frequencies in the East Midlands Airport
area...

By the way, having fun listenning to all the analog cordless phones in
my town at the moment (around 31 MHz FM), amazing what you can find out :)

Thanks, Jase...

131.for police is harmonic from 152.4

167.2 172.00 is a temporary allocation so may not be in use for long, the
parking enforcemnt for nottinghsam must be awaiuting a proper licensed
allocation

451.530 not sure on that

451.5375 451.55 451.525 possibly

also it helps for accuracy if people can put the splits in

the list looks like it was tken from transmissions1 site which sadly is
quite inaccurate and lacking in detail

people who added in freqs are usual to blame

he put in the the space for the duplex and hardly anyone ever fills it
out, this leads to a sloppy innacurate listing

if you have 166.2875 for ambo then its not hard to find ut 171.0875 is the
input

fine on some things there is def a split, but if allocation si 453.575 and i
see 453.575 posted, how do i know its not

453.575 single or 453.575 dual paired with 460.075

puttiung in both sides means its been checked and found to ve dual

regards,Paul
